A team built around your child
Every child is different, and everything we do starts there. Our educators come from a range of educational training backgrounds, so the team draws on a rich mix of ideas and experience when planning for each child's individual needs.
The learning never stops for the grown-ups either. The whole team takes part in regular further training, and every core member of staff holds a current Advanced Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Meet the team
Nursery team
Our eleven qualified educators lead the four rooms day to day. Among them is your child's dedicated Key Person, who plans their learning, keeps their developmental records and talks with you about how they are getting on.
Kelly North
Kelly joined Twinkle Star in June 2014 as a qualified staff member, she worked up to a room leader then deputy manager and became manager in 2019. In 2021 when the previous owner decided to sell the business, Kelly purchased the nursery and is now the owner and the manager. Kelly holds an NVQ2 and NVQ3 in Early Years and a Level 3 Diploma in Management. Kelly has her own 3 children. Kelly has completed the Level 3 SENCO Accreditation course and is the nursery SENCO and DSL.
Amy North
Amy started at Twinkle Star as a volunteer in 2016, she then gained her apprenticeship and completed her NVQ3 and was offered a full time position, she then worked her way up to room leader. Amy particularly enjoys working with the little ones and supporting their needs. Amy has completed the Level 2 SENCO Accreditation course. Amy is the nursery assistant SENCO and is working towards her NVQ5 in childcare.
Sarah Buckland
Sarah has been at the nursery since it first opened. Sarah holds an NVQ2 and NVQ3 in Childcare. Sarah is a dedicated staff member and particularly enjoys supporting the babies.
Belle Wooding
Belle started her apprenticeship with us in June 2021, she successfully gained her NVQ3 in childcare and was offered a full time position. Belle is a firm favourite with many of the children and works hard to ensure they have the best day.
Grace Taylor
Grace joined the nursery in November 2019 as an apprentice, after successfully completing her apprenticeship she was offered a full time placement as a qualified staff member. Grace has lovely interactions with all the children and constantly works hard to provide them with engaging activities. Grace is working towards her Level 5 in childcare.
Ellie Rushforth
Ellie started at Twinkle Star in the summer of 2021, she successfully gained her NVQ3 in childcare before having her own daughter. Ellie is a lively member of the team who works hard to provide the children with engaging activities.
Charlie Paice
Charlie joined the nursery in April 2025. Charlie has an NVQ3 in childcare and has worked in early years for 7 years. Charlie particularly enjoys supporting our younger groups.
Nancy Froggatt
Nancy joined the nursery in 2024 and has just completed her NVQ2. Nancy has been offered a full time place at the nursery and is working towards her NVQ3 in childcare.
Saffron Peattie
Saffron joined the nursery in 2023 as an apprentice working towards her NVQ3 in childcare. Saffron successfully passed her apprenticeship with a distinction and was offered a full time permanent role.
Dottie Pescud
Dottie joined the nursery in November 2024 as an apprentice, Dottie gained her NVQ2 qualification and is working towards her NVQ3. Dottie is a helpful staff member and has lovely bonds with all her children.
Maisey Mcmillan
Maisey joined the nursery in September 2024 as an apprentice, Maisey gained her NVQ2 qualification and is working towards her NVQ3. Maisey particularly enjoys garden time with all the children.
Other staff
Behind the scenes, Lorraine Gover keeps the office running smoothly, Lauren Ward and Jessica Mccauley look after our busy lunchtimes, Citrus Cleaning Company keeps everything clean, and Millie Read provides dedicated 1-1 support.

Apprentices
Daisy King and Ava Fitzgerald are working towards their Level 3 qualifications with a trainer who visits monthly. Our room leaders oversee their progress every day.
